Recycled Art

It belonged to him

An intricate piece

Meant to be adored

Maybe it wasn’t

What he was looking for

So he threw it away

For something “better”

To each his own they say
Lying in the heap of discarded things

It was picked up by another

Who took the time to look

In all the places

Never explored

Somehow it became

Even more beautiful than before

His love will be rewarded

Choked By Guilt

I want you to remember

Everything we ever did

I want you to see me

Wherever you look

Feel me wherever you go

I want haunt your dreams

One day you’ll be walking

You’ll see me

I moved on

Your throat will tighten

And you’ll realize

You should have never

Let me go

Return the One Thing

Years had past since they said I do

It had been long that he knew

She  was no longer the woman he married

The things that made him fall in love

Were no loner there

It was as though she had forgotten how to care

Every time she complained about

He changed just for her

He didn’t even recognize himself anymore

She had his heart

Yet he could not find hers

The rings

Now meant nothing

Forever had come to a close

Their own separate ways

They now had to go

Forgive Me. Forget It.

No one can be…what you are to me
I’d write it in the stars for the world to see
Make it a galactic decree
With me is where you should be
Words for you…I only have three

Things should have gone better
I’d trade this hindsight for foresight
I’d give all the hurtful days
To be with you again for just one night
Just one more chance…to do it right

Beautiful is what you are
But it’s what you always were
Tears fell for no reason
A smile on your face is what I always preferred
The right way…is what you deserved

Actions speak louder than words
My whispers didn’t really help
Even though you’ve left it all behind
And in the past is where it was left
I can’t seem…to forgive myself…

I Hate This Poem

First of all I want to say that I hate this poem

Even though the words in it are so true

I hate every word in every line

All because this poem talks about you

That long walk we took was our last

From that day I left you in my past

But somehow your memory keeps coming back

Placing me under constant attack

I try to drown you with the happiness that I feel now

But you just swim up to the surface and pull me under

Why do I constantly think of what you have done?

Maybe because there was no closure

To the thing that we had

That ended the way that it did

It took me too long to realize

Even when I did find out

You felt that you didn’t have to apologize

So on that one word I wait

Until that day that you can finally say

That you were wrong

I hate this poem…

Because it talks about you

I’m sad…

But I’m also glad

That I moved on and found better

Remember that letter?

It’s been torn to shreds

All the feelings you supposedly put into it

Are now dead

Turned into the confetti…

To use at my party

Where the candle was your picture

That day I celebrated your departure

Better yet…

I celebrated the day I escaped your capture

Broke free from the spell

You were no longer the person for whom I fell

They say that time will tell

And it did…

I hate this poem…

Because it talks about you

I wish you’d run up to me again

Act like we were ever friends

All I’ll have to ask

Is if I know you

I want everyone around to hear too

That look on your face will be priceless

I have to confess

That it will be hard not to laugh

At the sight of you looking confused

I’ll simply walk away

With my head held high to the sky

Leaving you behind

Without hesitating to ever look back

You can call to me as much as you like

This guy does as he chooses

And as my feet hit the dirt one by one

I’ll chuck up the deuces

I hate this poem

I really hate this poem

Because I wrote it for   you

A Lost Memory

When I look back

To the time before you left

I remember being near you

Always fighting what I felt

And every time you smiled at me

I would feel my heart start to melt

Looking into your eyes

Was how I wished to always spend my time

I remember when I would hold you

I was falling in love

I just never told you…

The Moment

Opportunities don’t often come along twice
So once they present the must be seized
You never know what could happen
The outcome of taking the risk might leave you pleased

Happiness isn’t about the destination.
It’s about the journey along the way.
And once you achieve your happiness
It’s up to you how whether or not it goes away

You shouldn’t focus on the end
When you have yet to begin
If you’re too focused on losing
You might just lose your chance to win

Take the chance when you see it
Or you may forever feel regret
What ifs plague your mind
And the mistake you’ll never forget

Each day you must be able to live in the present
To make the most of everything is what you need to avow
Seize the moment when it comes
The moment is now!

How does a man show that he has changed?

How do you promise not to do something you’ve already

When apologies can no longer make things better,

How can you give one?

Can you get back something that was lost?

Search for it no matter what the cost?

How is the restoration of sight to be shown?

How will what is in the heart ever again be known?

Chances are not easy to come by

Yet you wish you had just one more…

Inside you need to show that one person that…

You’re not the same as before…
